The child seen in the camera phone picture is Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, who was taken by the Chinese authorities shortly after he was declared by the Dalai Lama to be the 10th Panchen Lama. He has not been seen for ten years. The Chinese authorities declared another boy, Gyaltsen Norbu, Panchen Lama in his place. In my image I also use part of a Chinese poster from 1982 showing the meeting in 1936 between Red Army general Zhu De and Living Buddha Geda. The pro-Chinese Geda was poisoned when he returned to Tibet shortly before the Chinese take-over in 1951. The phone was made in China.
