Friedl Dicker-Brandeis

 

The text is from a transcript of a BBC radio program 'Artists of Terezin' (presented by Christopher Cook on 13.5.86) and reads - 'Friedldika Brandosova graduated from the Bauhaus and moved to Czechoslovakia in 1935. In Theresienstadt she held drawing lessons for the children. In autumn 1944, she was transported to Auschwitz.'

The drawing of a hand was made by a child in Terezin, and appears in the book 'I Never Saw Another Butterfly', editor H.Volavkova.
